Only 10 days to go until the 45th Annual Bob Cook Memorial / Mt. Evans Hill Climb.
I have recovered from the Triple Bypass 120 mile cycling ride over 3 mountain passes (Squaw Pass, Loveland Pass, & Vail Pass) and will do 1 more hard workout this weekend at altitude. Tyler, my son, and I will ride from the entrance to Mt. Evans all the way to the top at 14,130 feet at race pace. I just recently changed my rear cassette to a 11-28 and with my front Compact Crank of 50-34 will give me a better chance to hold 8 MPH at 80 RPM considering I had open heart surgery to repair a genetic heart valve defect only 7 1/2 months ago on 12/23/2009.
